Při příležitosti 100. výročí od vzniku Dada v ženevském kabaretu Voltaire v roce 1916 natočil režisér Robert Cambrinus loni hravou poctu tomuto hnutí. Formou audiovizuální koláže vedle sebe do nových kontextů staví historické a zcela současné umělecké a mediální artefakty a jejich technologicky aktualizované pastiše. Tematicky je propojuje s konkrétními politickými souvislostmi minulosti i současnosti. Pojmy fungují, i když obrátíme jejich význam... Je to hravé a vtipné i zarážející a mrazivé.

A year ago, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Dada in the Voltaire Geneva cabaret in 1916, director Robert Cambrinus created a playful honor to this movement. Using a form of audiovisual collage, he puts beside each other in new contexts historical and entirely contemporary artistic and media artifacts and their technologically updated pastiche. The author connects them by theme using specific political contexts of the past and present. The definitions work even if their meanings are changed... it’s both playful and funny, and striking and chilling.

Robert Cambrinus
Narodil se v roce 1965 ve Vídni. Studoval ekonomii na vídeňské univerzitě (1996 doktorát), v Rotterdamu a Cambridge a herectví v Londýně. Působí jako herec a lmař ve Štýrsku. Před filmem A DAD natočil mimo jiné snímky Nemůžu křičet hlasitěji / I Can’t Cry Much Louder Than This (2012, MFDF Jihlava 2013), Home Video (2011), The Good Muslim (2009) nebo Illegal (2006).

He was born in 1965 in Vienna. He studied Economics at the University of Vienna (1996 doctorate), Rotterdam and Cambridge, and acting in London. He works as an actor and filmmaker in Styria. Before the movie A DAD, he had made, among others, the films I Can- not Cry Much Louder Than This (2012, IDDF Jihlava 2013), Home Video (2011), The Good Muslim (2009) or Illegal (2006).
