Čech Jakub Vrba a Rakušan Lukas Marxt cestují do západních Čech. Jakub Vrba z tohoto kraje pochází, Lukas Marxt tu zatím nebyl. Krásné a tiché umístění je zasazeno do historické oblasti permanentních změn. Změna a prolínání je take v tématech jejich site-specific instalace, v níž je zdůrazněn prvek (ne)citlivosti ke krajině, a zároveň samotný proces vzniku instalace, pokus i případný neúspěch.

A Quiet and Beautiful Location takes place in a historical area of permanent changes. Change and inter-connection is also present in the themes of their site-specific installations, which simultaneously emphasize the element of (in)sensitivity towards landscape and the process of building the installation itself, attempt and possible failure.

Narodil se v roce 1983 ve Štýrsku, žije a pracuje v Kölnu a ve Štýrském Hradci. Zde vystudoval geografiii a životní prostředí, na Univerzitě umění v Linci pak audiovizuální tvorbu a na Vysoké škole mediálních umění v Kölnu mediální tvorbu. Ve svých audiovizuálních pracích se často zabývá tématem místa, jeho neměnnosti a proměny.

He was born in 1983 in Styria, lives and works in Köln and Graz. He studied geography and environmental studies in Graz, audiovisual works at Linz University of Arts and Media at the College of Media Arts in Köln. In his audiovisual work, he often addresses the subject of a place, its permanence and transformations.

Jakub Vrba
Narodil se v roce 1985 v Karlových Varech. Žije ve Vídni, Praze a Lisabonu. Je nezávislý výtvarník (autorské publikace Intellectual Property, Friedhof der Kunst, Herr Andreas a SFAK ZINES #3), realizuje zvukové, světelné i pyrotechnické instalace a experimentální videa. Pro jeho práci je typické spojení poetické citlivosti s prvky absurdity a humoru.

He was born in 1985 in Karlovy Vary. He lives in Vienna, Prague and Lisbon. He is an independent artist (the author of Intellectual Property, Friedhof der Kunst, Herr Andreas, and SFAK ZINES #3), performs sound, lighting and pyrotechnic installations, and experimental videos. His work is a typical combination of poetic sensitivity with elements of absurdity and humor.
