Kůže je největší smyslový orgán těla, něžný a zároveň mimořádně robustní. Kamera v pomalé jízdě v makrodetailu sleduje kůži – úryvky lidského těla. Jeho póry, chloupky, žilky... Z detailu se vytváří celek a divák předpokládá, že rozeznává jednotlivé části těla. Části celku. Předpoklad není úplně správný, tělo se ukazuje být digitálně upravené. Není to lidské tělo, ale jeho mutace a násobná variace. Napětí mezi celkem a detailem roste, aby nakonec odeznělo.

Skin is the largest sensory organ of the human body and also the most robust. The camera slowly moves to examine the macro details of skin – parts of the human body. Its pores, hairs, veins... The full picture is created from details and the viewers presume that they are looking at parts of a human body. The presumption is not entirely correct; the body appears to be digitally altered. It is not a human body, but its mutation and multiple variations. The tension between entirety and detail grows to fade away in the end.

Claudia Larcher
Narozena v roce 1979. Studovala sochařství a multimédia na Univerzitě užitého umění ve Vídni. Působí jako výtvarná umělkyně, těžiště její práce nalezneme ve videoanimaci, koláži, fotogra i a instalacích. Experimentuje také na poli živých vizualizací během performancí a koncertů. Účastní se skupinových výstav v Evropě i mimo ni. Ústředním tématem její tvorby je prostor soukromí, důvěry a vzpomínky.

Born in 1979, she studied sculpture and multimedia at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. She works as a visual artist, the focus of her work is in video animation, collage, photography and installations. She also experiments with live visualizations during performances and concerts. She takes part in group exhibitions in and outside of Europe. The central theme of her work is our private space, trust, and memories.
